However, with all the new travel restrictions brought on by covid-19, my wanderlust and nostalgia became unbearable. That's why I made Lit City. I wanted something that would bring comfort during a difficult time and what better way to accomplish that than through the power of scent. Our candles bring hope for future adventures while providing a small bit of luxury decor to our homes. 

I aspire to grow the candle line to represent the many places I've been to, and hope to see in my lifetime. I wish for travel to be accessible to everyone, even in a small way."

Socorra Rose is an Afro-Latina home aroma company founded in 2020 by Tatiana Frost. She started the company in Harlem, NY, during the early months of the pandemic. Tatiana’s love for being creative birth the first product, “RAGER”, a candle made with the intentions of creating a space of love and relaxation after a long day. Socorra Rose name was inspired by Tatiana’s late grandmothers who were matriarch to their families that planted seeds that blossomed into roses in Harlem, NY in the early 80’s.

Socorra Rose currently offers hand-poured candles made with soy-wax and luxurious scents for homes to workspaces so you can experience self-care with a little but of luxury!

CANDY x PAINTS chooses to create conscious, quality products that are not only non-toxic, but also cruelty-free & vegan, 10-free nail lacquer formulas. Our customers don’t have to worry if our products are considered “non-toxic” and “humane”, we’ve done the research and we have you guys covered! That’s why we doubled our certifications. Founded in 2016, Bobbie started sewing as a hobby, revamping thrifted clothes and hand making personal customs. In 2018, BÉYU began the switch to more sustainable production, supporting the movement in conscious shopping. Fashion is about making it your own, no matter how new or old, its the meaning and person behind it that makes it stylish. ABOUT SUITE LLH

In the spring of 2014 Iran Ortiz opened up shop inside of an used bread truck her dad found on sale in NYC. They would park all around NYC, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. Women would follow on social media to see where they were parked next and go shop for another outfit. Unfortunately a year later they realized that NYC was not as fashion truck friendly as they thought. Due to the popularity of fashion trucks, they now required a different permit that had yet to be created. While waiting for this permit, the girls decided to host pop up shops in businesses all around the city to sell their merchandise. Three years later Iran has decided to take Suite LLH  solely online and run the business from home.

Hibiscus Brew opened in the summer of 2020 in the middle of the great pandemic. While we know it seems like a weird time to start a new business – we know this. We love this community and feel like feeding it though this unprecedented time just makes sense! Just steps from Prospect Park in Prospect Lefferts Gardens we are also within walking distance of the Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Hibiscus Brew is a place for inspiration, and conversation – we want to feed your body, your mind,  and your spirit. We take pride in offering quality food with neighborhood charm.
